BERLIN, May 3 (Xinhua) -- Bayern Munich was minutes away from clinching its 34th Bundesliga title, but a late goal from Yussuf Poulsen earned sixth-placed RB Leipzig a dramatic 3-3 draw on Saturday.
Leipzig started brightly and was rewarded early on. Benjamin Sesko produced a moment of magic in the 11th minute, lifting the ball over Jonas Urbig from long-range following a pass from Xavi.
The hosts doubled their lead before half-time when Lukas Klostermann headed in David Raum's 39th-minute set-piece. Bayern missed top scorer Harry Kane who was suspended.
But the second half belonged to the visitors. Within a minute, Bayern had overturned the deficit. Eric Dier headed home Michael Olise's corner on the hour, and Olise himself equalised seconds later after a Leipzig defensive slip-up.
The turnaround was complete in the 83rd minute when Leroy Sane scored after a neat one-two with Joshua Kimmich.
But the final act belonged to Leipzig. Deep into stoppage time, substitute Yussuf Poulsen latched onto a clever pass from Xavi and calmly slotted the ball past Urbig to deny Bayern the title, at least for now, and keep Leipzig's Champions League hopes alive.
"We played an excellent first half, but we knew Bayern would come back, and they did. Unfortunately, two errors cost us dearly," said Leipzig coach Zsolt Low.
"What a game. Leipzig were better in the first half; we were better in the second. It came down to the wire. I'm proud of the team's reaction, we're very close now," said Bayern coach Vincent Kompany.
Elsewhere, Borussia Dortmund recorded its third straight win to move into the top four. Serhou Guirassy and Karim Adeyemi scored twice apiece in a 4-0 demolition of hapless Wolfsburg. Werder Bremen squandered a two-goal lead to share the spoils with Union Berlin after a 2-2 draw. Stuttgart held on for a 1-0 win over ten-man St. Pauli, while Borussia Monchengladbach and Hoffenheim shared the spoils after an eight-goal draw. ■
